The Heirloom tells the story of a young architect, James Yang, who inherits an old family house in Taipei. With his long time girlfriend Yo, he moves in. Things quickly begin to turn sour: James starts having bad dreams connected to long buried memories form his childhood; Yo's journalist fiend vanishes and their friend Cheng is discovered strangled in a bathtub. It soon becomes apparent that the house - or something in it - has strange and murderous powers.
The pair begin to investigate the twisted, disturbing history of the house and of James' family, uncovering a tale of madness, mass suicide and blood rituals ...
